Job Description
Chief Systems Engineer sustaining SAIC naval messaging systems for NIWC Pacific. Leading MBSE modernization, requirements allocation, and DoD systems engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for sustainment systems engineering for the Naval Messaging ISEA
- Evaluate systems engineering tools and design custom workflows for Naval Messaging
- Work with team members to integrate systems engineering tools into daily procedures
- Develop systems engineering strategy and documentation to support sustainment of Naval Messaging systems
- Modernize ISEA systems engineering processes into a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach as directed by the DoN and in accordance with NAVWAR guidance
- Manage system requirements and their allocation for Naval Messaging systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Master's degree and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen years or more experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance to start
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience managing and maintaining Software/Systems in an Agile environment using CI/CD tools and regular Scrum meetings
- Experience with Naval Messaging systems and systems design
- Familiarity working on classified systems and managing classified data
- Experience with IBM Rational Tools Suite
- Experience using CAMEO digital engineering tools
- Requirements development and allocation to DoD system designs
- Experience developing systems engineering designs to DoD standards
- Working knowledge of Jira/Confluence and Microsoft Office, including Visio, Project, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent communication skills
