Job Description
Senior Linux System Engineer managing complex on-premise infrastructure for Software Mind’s global IT clients. Automating configuration, lifecycle management, observability, and virtualization.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver project-driven infrastructure transformations
- Manage Linux systems
- Perform lifecycle management
- Handle configuration management
- Automate systems and processes
- Work with advanced Linux, automation, observability and security technologies
- Join a senior Polish engineering team delivering managed services for a leading IT infrastructure provider in the Netherlands
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge and experience using, configuring and maintaining Automation Platforms, preferably AAP/AWX
- Configuration and management of Linux distributions including RHEL, OL and Ubuntu
- Manual and automatic deployment and patching methods for Linux distributions
- Shell scripting and at least one other programming language, preferably Python
- Ansible for managing systems and processes at scale
- Reverse engineering of systems and platforms
- Understanding of virtualization concepts
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles
- Prometheus/Grafana/Loki observability stack
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of IPAM, IAM, basic networking, system firewalls and storage
- OpenStack knowledge is a plus
