Job Description
Clinical Sales Manager leading clinical specialists and cardiac rhythm management growth across Northeast Ohio. Coaching teams, improving service efficiency, and partnering with sales stakeholders at Abbott.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with key Commercial stakeholders to achieve regional revenue growth goals
- Manage and coach regional clinical specialists and resources
- Partner with the Regional Sales Director, Territory Managers, and Sales Representatives to drive revenue growth and market share
- Identify clinical opportunities using analytics, time studies, and field visits
- Develop and execute measurable initiatives to address clinical opportunities
- Implement strategies to increase service efficiency and optimize clinical headcount utilization
- Leverage best practices through the Clinical Leaders network and training
- Manage and coach clinical specialists through field rides, individual and group meetings, and company resources
- Lead change in response to evolving customers, service expectations, and team capabilities
- Drive alignment within Cardiac Rhythm Management at area and regional levels
- Reinforce policies, business conduct, and quality standards
- Help locate, recruit, and hire clinical candidates and maintain a candidate bench
- Oversee clinical team training and development in implants, service delivery, competition, and product knowledge
- Set objectives, evaluate performance, provide feedback and coaching, and implement performance improvement plans when needed
- Advise the clinical team on teamwork, time and task management, and career development
- Perform administrative management, expense, inventory, and communication tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7-9 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- CRM certification
- Demonstrated aptitude in CRM therapy knowledge for implants and device support
- Knowledge of local CRM customer base preferred
- Demonstrated leadership/credibility with the local team(s)
- Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to manage conflict effectively and effect change
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong project management experience
- Energetic, organized, determined and goal oriented
- Schedule flexibility for case coverage and client meetings after hours and on weekends
- Ability to travel approximately 25-50% of the time
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to perform required physical activities, including prolonged standing and walking, climbing stairs, lifting equipment, and clear communication
