Job Description
Clinical Strategy Specialist helping rural healthcare organizations improve care through evidence-based strategy. Analyzing healthcare data, facilitating planning, and delivering education and transformation support.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare facility teams to assess organizations and clinical practices and identify improvement areas
- Analyze healthcare data trends and performance metrics to identify quality-improvement opportunities
- Develop innovative strategies to improve service effectiveness, efficiency, and community outcomes
- Support implementation of protocols, guidelines, and technologies to improve patient outcomes and care delivery
- Build relationships with physicians, nurses, administrators, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines in collaboration with the RHRC compliance team
- Translate qualitative and quantitative data into actionable strategy recommendations
- Assist with and co-lead strategic planning retreats and stakeholder alignment sessions
- Guide rural health leaders in developing multi-year plans
- Develop and facilitate strategic leadership workshops
- Monitor implementation of strategic and clinical plans through RHRC's online portal, providing accountability and coaching
- Develop educational materials, resources, tools, and online-module content for rural healthcare providers
- Conduct in-person and virtual training for hospital leaders, clinicians, ancillary staff, and other rural healthcare organizations
- Apply adult learning principles to deliver education
- Mentor and support training participants
- Evaluate educational programs using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
- Track and report training outcomes and participant progress
- Attend standing project-related and other RHRC meetings as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, public health, or related field required
- 5 years of experience in healthcare strategy and innovation, focused on rural healthcare settings, access, and population health
- Experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Specialized expertise in telehealth, mental and behavioral health, chronic care management, or related areas
- Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, or Power BI for data visualization and strategic dashboard development
- Proficiency with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Experience using data to tell a story and drive executive-level decision-making
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong facilitation skills
- Experience leading or facilitating strategic planning efforts, preferably with rural health or community-based healthcare organizations
- Comfortable working in consultative environments and with multidisciplinary leadership teams
- Knowledge of healthcare policy, regulatory requirements, and best practices in rural healthcare delivery
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives to measurable population health outcomes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Service oriented
- Reliable internet
- Preferred: Master's degree in a health or business discipline (MHA, MPH, MBA)
- Preferred: Formal training or certification in strategy development, quality/process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma), or program evaluation
