Job Description
DevOps Engineer building AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation for LeanTaaS healthcare operations software. Supporting reliable deployment and cloud systems across product teams.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop and maintain the core cloud infrastructure powering all LeanTaaS services
- Manage robust build pipelines, deployment tools, and internal systems for seamless code deployment
- Execute disaster recovery plans and automation for isolated deployment environments
- Maintain internal security measures, performance monitoring tools, and uptime monitoring for cloud infrastructure
- Manage MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring compliance with legal regulations
- Champion best practices for availability, reliability, scalability, and security
- Participate in on-call support rotations to ensure system availability and uptime
- Improve existing documentation and runbooks
- Automate routine manual tasks
- Collaborate across multiple scrum teams and codebases to drive innovation and efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on industry experience
- 1–3 years of engineering experience building, maintaining, and scaling cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting languages
- Experience leveraging AI productivity tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Co-Pilot to streamline DevOps workflows
- Real-world experience configuring and operating AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, Site-to-Site VPN, Route53, and API Gateway
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and defining Infrastructure as Code using Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform
- Familiarity with containerizing applications using Docker and orchestrating workloads with ECS Fargate or Kubernetes
- Strong grasp of cloud security principles, system monitoring, and integrating Shift Left practices early in the development lifecycle
- Additional cloud technology or security certifications are a bonus
- Experience working in a startup environment is a bonus
- Contributions to open-source DevOps or cloud infrastructure projects are a bonus
- Experience with cloud providers besides AWS is a bonus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
