Job Description
Commercial Analytics Manager translating wine and spirits sales data into actionable growth insights for Palm Bay International. Supporting U.S. sales divisions through Power BI, opportunity analysis, training, and executive presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and embedded Business Intelligence support for the assigned division.
- Collaborate with DVPs, Regional Managers, District Managers, and Strategic Account Leads on sales, performance-to-plan, and results.
- Deliver execution-focused insights, sales and program results, risks, and opportunities to sales leadership.
- Lead opportunity analysis, including targeted account identification, distribution gap analysis, display execution and effectiveness, and key/BTG account opportunities.
- Communicate market-level implications of Strategic Account programming, distribution wins, and losses.
- Develop market-specific tools and deliver training and real-time support for field teams.
- Provide ad-hoc and division-level deep-dive analytics support for distributor GSMs, meetings, and retail sales calls.
- Partner with the Commercial Analytics Analyst and broader BI team on Power BI reporting, tool development, and strategic solutions.
- Support planning, program tracking and ROI, launch/reset execution, and distributor and retail Top-to-Top meetings.
- Improve analytics processes and tools in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Brand Excellence.
- Support distributor transitions and ERP system changes while ensuring reporting continuity.
- Translate complex data sets into executive-level presentations and insight decks.
- Champion data-driven performance and planning conversations across the division.
- Join division sales leaders at key distributor meetings to understand and address business challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, sales analytics, and/or category insights.
- Alcohol beverage experience required.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and data modeling concepts.
- Ability to guide report development and interpret DAX-based analyses.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and deriving insights from Circana/Nielsen and distributor syndicated data.
- Commercial experience partnering with sales levels from executive to field.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, teamwork, maturity under pressure, and problem-solving ability.
