Job Description

Commercial Counsel owning contract negotiations for ScorePlay’s AI-powered sports media infrastructure. Partnering with Sales and supporting privacy, security, and international commercial agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, redline, and negotiate MSAs, service agreements, order forms, SOWs, NDAs, and DPAs
  • Handle contracts with clubs, leagues, federations, broadcasters, and brands across multiple countries
  • Provide Sales with fast contract turnarounds, pragmatic fallbacks, and commercial judgment
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, RevOps, and Customer Success to align contract terms with pricing, booking, and delivery
  • Manage a share of vendor and partner agreements alongside the General Counsel
  • Use AI for contract drafting, first-pass reviews, and summarizing counterparty terms
  • Execute and help refine the legal playbook based on negotiation experience
  • Contribute to customer security, privacy, vendor due-diligence questionnaires, DPAs, and international transfer matters
  • Serve as the primary commercial contracts counsel and main Sales partner across both sides of the Atlantic
  • Participate in sales calls with senior stakeholders at major sports organizations

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience, most of it in-house, with commercial contracts at the core of the work
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial contracts
  • Ability to work autonomously on MSAs and customer redlines, providing a position, fallback, and recommendation
  • Ability to work quickly and make decisions with 80% certainty
  • Resourcefulness in researching and resolving unclear issues
  • Responsiveness and availability to support Sales
  • Experience using AI in legal work, or strong interest in adopting it
  • Passion for sports and comfort working in fast-paced environments
