Job Description
Manager of Actuarial Analysts leading analysis and pricing for commercial insurance. Collaborating across teams to enhance business decisions and maintain project quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Actuarial Analysts and Consultants, providing coaching, training, and direction
- Oversee actuarial analyses, support business decision-making
- Ensure projects are completed on time and with high quality
- Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external clients
- Review work of Consultants and Analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects
- Manage and train Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts within the department
- Manage Teams time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership
Requirements:
- BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on commercial insurance
- Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
- 3+ years commercial insurance experience
- ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society)
- Requires strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills
- Have a solid understanding of the market landscape
- Requires the ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to professional staff
