Job Description
Contracts Manager owning global SaaS agreements and legal automation. Building Scribe’s commercial contracting function for its AI-native platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full contracting queue from intake to signature
- Negotiate MSAs, DPAs, AI Addenda, BAAs, and order forms with customer counsel, privacy, procurement, and security teams
- Escalate only true exceptions to the Head of Legal
- Create and launch playbooks, contracting collateral, NDAs, and standard templates
- Architect and launch structured contracting systems for intake, triage, contract review, and drafting automation
- Build a post-signature compliance program
- Develop data and analysis frameworks to reduce contracting cycles, increase capacity, and unlock revenue
- Support sales, procurement, partnerships, and marketing contracting across the business
Requirements:
- 5+ years negotiating SaaS sell-side and vendor agreements globally
- Experience with enterprise-level MSAs, DPAs, and security/AI addenda
- Experience working directly with customer counsel
- Fluency in GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, and SOC 2-type security terms
- Ability to understand product data flows and defend them
- Ability to make independent risk decisions and explain contract positions
- Hands-on daily use of AI and agentic tools
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- JD, paralegal experience in a high-volume practice or fast-paced technology company, or CIPP certification(s) preferred
- Experience selecting or rolling out a CLM such as Ironclad preferred
- Public sector experience and reseller/partnership agreements preferred
- Experience as a first legal hire or in an early-stage legal function preferred
