Job Description
Customer Category Manager driving sales for Lactalis Heritage Dairy. Managing customer relationships and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the selling efforts with assigned customers as a member of a Customer Business Team (CBT)
- Manage assigned customers and responsibilities effectively and act as a liaison between Lactalis Heritage Dairy CBT and the Customer’s HQ Team
- Deliver revenue and profitability, pursue business strategies to grow the company franchises using customer-specific programs
- Provide category management expertise to the customer
- Ensure a coordinated cross-functional sales value is delivered to the customer through implementation of the sales plan and shelving objectives
- Build rapport with assigned customers to fully understand the customer, their business, and the marketplace
- Responsible for achieving base business objectives of assigned customers (revenue, share growth, margin contribution, authorizations, distribution and shelving)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in customer management, account management, and/or retail sales management for a CPG company
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the Customer and gain their trust and respect
- Strong personal selling skills and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, ability to operate independently
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and create action plans
- Solid working knowledge of computers and related systems including proficiency in Microsoft 365 including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, CoPilot, etc.
- Ability to travel (up to 30%)
