Job Description
Customer Due Diligence Analyst reviewing Mettle applications and KYC/KYB data. Preventing fraud and economic crime while supporting compliant customer onboarding.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct robust reviews of new Mettle account applications
- Make fair and proportionate decline decisions where required
- Identify and mitigate economic crime risks and escalate effectively
- Operate within NatWest Group policies and NatWest Boxed processes
- Enhance processes for greater effectiveness and efficiency
- Review KYC/KYB check reports and application data to prevent application fraud
- Assess the nature and purpose of customer accounts
- Review name-screening hits for PEPs, sanctions, and adverse press
- Escalate true matches or make well-rationalised discounting decisions
- Investigate application fraud and other economic crime alerts using internal and external databases, including UID and Cifas
- Contact customers and manage chats within SLAs
- Communicate clearly and concisely using Mettle's supportive tone of voice
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer due diligence, economic crime prevention, or similar fields (e.g. AML, PEPs/Sanctions, KYC/KYB)
- CDD or Financial Crime knowledge
- Strong communication skills and focus on positive customer outcomes
- Curious and analytical mind with ability to apply a risk-based approach to high volumes of work
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
