Job Description
Deal Strategist structuring Gracenote commercial deals at Nielsen, a media insights company. Supporting negotiations, approvals, objection handling, and strategic sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and support deal structuring for Gracenote’s Commercial customer base
- Partner with sales to close the highest-valued and most strategic opportunities
- Own delivery of Commercial proposals and executables through deal structuring, commercial solutioning, and internal approval management
- Support objection handling throughout the deal lifecycle and act as sales’ primary escalation point
- Manage customer expectations
- Liaise between sales, finance, product, operations, and legal to identify and resolve internal and external blockers
- Identify gaps in Nielsen’s commercial approach and support conflict resolution and program escalations across channels
- Own closure of opportunities across Gracenote’s Commercial sold portfolio
- Support negotiations, proposals, objection handling, and counter/close strategies
- Influence the commercialization roadmap and provide insights on commercial construct performance
- Manage the Gracenote Commercial portfolio, including direct negotiation support, commercial solutioning, and operational management
- Deliver intelligence assets and commercial constructs at scale
- Lead and support process improvements to streamline deal support
- Provide ad hoc reporting when requested
Requirements:
- 6+ years of work experience with relevant experience in deal structuring/strategy, commercial solutioning, and negotiation management
- Understanding of deal structure frameworks, commercial strategies, and sales plays across subscription and consumption-based products
- 5+ years of direct experience working and supporting Sales on deals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where first-of-kind work is led and delivered without a playbook
- Proven ability to close deals against aggressive timelines while resolving external and internal objections
- Excellent written and oral communication and objection handling skills
- Experience with senior stakeholder and customer management
- Experience with Salesforce, contract management tools, and data analytics software
- Prior experience and knowledge of pricing strategies, discounting practices, and revenue optimization techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
