Job Description
Product Strategist driving discovery, measurement, and technology transformation for Dovenmuehle, a U.S. mortgage subservicing firm. Building roadmaps, tools, vendor partnerships, and adoption strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Observe, research, and document department processes, procedures, and tools
- Understand department purpose and mission to identify success metrics and gather baseline metrics
- Identify process and product improvements that increase efficiency or user experience
- Identify KPIs, build measurement capabilities, and measure product initiative success against benchmarks
- Develop a high-level vision for technology transformation and process improvements
- Build prioritized roadmaps with business units for technology and process improvements
- Conduct build-versus-buy analysis for tools
- Develop and document requirements for new products and tools
- Conduct market research to select products and vendors and partner with legal and compliance to onboard vendors
- Partner with existing product teams or establish new product teams to build tools and products
- Document new processes and partner with business units on adoption and continuous improvement
- Build credibility and partnerships with business units
- Develop adoption strategies and own transformation and adoption outcomes
- Recommend team skills and organizational structures to business unit and DMI leadership
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or UX research roles
- Experience with product discovery research
- Experience with technology transformation and modernization
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to identify unarticulated user pain points and problems
- Demonstrated experience identifying user needs and implementing solutions that measurably meet those needs
- Demonstrated experience identifying metrics and building the capacity to meaningfully measure success
- Ability to create documentation and infographics that clarify problems and illustrate solutions for stakeholders with varying levels of technology comfort
- Willingness to drive strategy from high-level vision through implementation and adoption
- Comfort communicating with senior leadership and individual users
- Preferred: Experience in highly regulated industries, especially financial services or mortgages
- Preferred: Experience with accounting or financial systems, or consumer financial services
- Preferred: Experience with ethnographic user research and/or service design
- Preferred: Experience working in established organizations with long-tenured employees
- Must successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training
- Comfortable working in either an on-site office setting or a quiet, designated work-from-home space
- Able to communicate and exchange accurate information through multiple communication methods
- Able to remain stationary and/or move about the organization or remote office; frequently stand, walk, sit, type, write, handle, feel, and reach; occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift/move up to 25 lbs
- Able to use computers and standard office equipment for extended periods
