Job Description
Accounting Consultant managing accounting reconciliations and operations team outputs for Defined Contribution clients. Supporting colleague development through coaching in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing accounting reconciliations for a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
- Managing operations team outputs
- Completing accounting tasks end-to-end
- Supporting colleague development through coaching
- Managing and overseeing the completion and delivery of accounting related services for Defined Contribution clients
- Providing oversight of accounting work performed by operations teams in a virtual environment
- Meeting regularly with operations managers in accounting delivery
- Performing all associated accounting tasks for select clients with contractual requirements
- Monitoring client delivery metrics related to accounting services
- Understanding contractual service level requirements
- Leveraging metrics to improve results
- Consulting internally and with clients regarding accounting-related topics
- Reviewing work prior to releasing it to the client team/client
- Supporting client plan audits and reporting
- Identifying training opportunities and implementing necessary action steps
Requirements:
- Possess accounting skills
- Possess an understanding of defined contribution domain
- Apply effective communication skills; client listening and consulting
- Able to work with virtual teams in and outside of the U.S.
- Demonstrate coaching experience and familiarity with feedback approaches
- Exhibit analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to consult and drive decisions to resolve reconciliation & funding situations.
- Possess an understanding of the Shared Service groups and ability to work with/leverage them effectively
- Learn and utilize internal policies, tools, and resources including Wealth Solutions operational best practices
