Job Description

Demand Planner supporting direct-to-consumer online retail operations. Developing forecasts and maintaining inventory for efficient, scalable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts for online retail channels using historical sales, seasonal trends, and upcoming product launches.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels, balancing availability with efficient stock management.
  • Produce and present regular sales and demand reports to leadership, highlighting trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Continuously improve demand planning processes, moving from manual workflows to automated, scalable solutions.
  • Oversee inbound shipments, including coordinating with freight forwarders for bookings, shipping schedules, and logistics.
  • Track inventory movements and reconcile stock levels against forecasts.
  • Ensure product availability aligns with business cycles, promotions, and customer demand.
  • Support market expansion projects, including demand forecasting, supply chain setup, and cross-border logistics.
  • Recommend tools and process improvements to strengthen planning efficiency and scalability.
  • Other role-specific duties as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles, ideally in eCommerce or consumer goods.
  • Experience with Shopify and demand planning tools (manual and automated).
  • Proven ability to independently manage high-volume international shipments and freight coordination.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, turning data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management skills.
  • Experience in market expansion projects (e.g., international markets) is highly desirable.
  • Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strategic mindset to support growth and scalability.
  • Resourceful problem-solver, adaptable when navigating inventory or logistics challenges.
  • Collaborative, able to build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
