Job Description

Director leading regional business development, sales strategy, and Hispanic brands growth for Sigma. Driving expansion, profitability, strategic accounts, and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic initiatives for the assigned region
  • Develop medium- and long-term growth plans and profitability goals
  • Analyze and recommend emerging industry trends and expansion opportunities
  • Oversee operational relationships and provide technical expertise and oversight to regional business development efforts
  • Deliver and present comprehensive business reviews and recommendations to leadership
  • Evaluate and deploy sales-office expansion opportunities and implement territory expansion plans
  • Negotiate entrance into new strategic accounts
  • Support introduction and development of Hispanic brands in mainstream accounts with sales leadership
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate product-market fit, product differentiation, and brand value
  • Define and approve sustainable growth objectives for strategic accounts and distributors
  • Design, create, monitor, and deploy promotional activity plans and budgets
  • Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, development, coaching, and disciplinary actions
  • Evaluate and develop sales best practices and operational efficiencies
  • Oversee sales-office KPIs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions
  • Create and lead regional sales strategy focused on shopper segments, distribution channels, and new business development
  • Track sales, profitability, and territory expansion goals
  • Manage the sales compensation program with Finance
  • Assess the competitive landscape and institute sales program changes
  • Develop and customize Hispanic Brands KPI analysis tools and manage pricing and profit tools
  • Liaise with and lead projects across Category Management, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Six (6) years of progressive business development or trade marketing experience
  • Five (5) years of consumer packaged goods experience
  • Three (3) years of management experience with demonstrated ability to lead multicultural teams
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to identify complex problems, evaluate options, and recommend effective solutions
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and present complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to build professional relationships with Hispanic Brands national accounts and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence and motivate collaborators to achieve sales goals
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to sit for a full shift of at least eight hours
  • Ability to stand and walk as needed, including standing for at least two hours at a time or for extended periods
  • Ability to hear adequately to understand spoken words, sounds, alarms, and other workplace communications
  • Travel may be required
