Job Description
Strategic Senior Advisor guiding WIL, a workforce and execution intelligence organization, on government-contracting opportunities, compliance, partnerships, and growth decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance on which government opportunities to pursue or decline
- Advise where government buying processes may be underestimated
- Identify capabilities needed before pursuing larger contracts
- Advise when to prime versus partner
- Explain what makes an agency take a newer entrant seriously
- Identify mistakes that create problems after an award
- Advise how to build government-contracting capability without unnecessary overhead
- Participate in periodic strategic conversations
- Review selected opportunities or decisions
- Make introductions where independently appropriate
- Substantial execution work such as capture support, proposal development, contract strategy, or partner work may be scoped separately as full-time employment or project-based contract work
Requirements:
- Substantial government-contracting execution experience, not title alone
- Judgment that will challenge assumptions rather than confirm them
- Ability to join periodic remote strategic conversations
- Open to full-time employment or project-based contract engagement; remote-first with travel as partner and field work requires
- FAR or DFARS, IDIQ, BPA, GWAC, or GSA schedule experience (nice to have)
- Capture, proposal, or post-award compliance leadership (nice to have)
- Professional-services, research, analytics, workforce, infrastructure, or technology contracts (nice to have)
