Job Description

Director of Consumer Insights & Creative Strategy leading consumer research and advising on marketing strategies at Neighborly. Empowering brands to innovate and unlock actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead consumer research strategy and advise on execution
  • Partnering with each Neighborly brand’s Head of Marketing to develop a brand-specific annual approach depending on the brand’s growth strategy focal points
  • Develop new cost-effective, actionable brand health tracking strategy and execution plan across Neighborly brands
  • Leverage DIY survey technologies to write, execute, and analyze quantitative survey data
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure that consumer insights are embedded in decision-making
  • Concisely explain insights coming from complex analyses through effective verbal/written communication
  • Partner with each year’s focus brands’ Head of Marketing to develop a new, differentiated creative strategy and write creative brand campaign briefs
  • Partner with Neighborly Creative Director to select and brief creative agencies to execute upon brand campaign briefs

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in a Consumer Insights, Market Research and / or Creative Strategy role
  • Extensive experience in conducting market research
  • Strong business strategy intuition
  • Ability to continuously prioritize and drive focus on the most growth- accretive initiatives
  • A knack for creative marketing strategy
  • Well-honed understanding of what marketing creative is differentiated and effective
  • Ability to think critically and to interpret and apply processes across many different areas
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment under pressure
  • Excellent verbal, written (emphasis on mastery of drafting day-to-day business correspondence required), analytical, and organizational skills required
  • Excellent mastery of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Power Point required, with working knowledge or desire to learn various AI and analytics tools.
  • Budget management skills and proficiency
  • Possess intellectual curiosity, with the spirit of a perpetual student.
