Job Description

Creative Strategist analyzing data, trends, and insights for a full-service creative agency. Supporting brand strategy development and driving creative direction through research.

Responsibilities:

  • Research & Market Insights (First Touchpoint) Conduct deep-dive research into new clients, industries, and target audiences
  • Analyze kickoff calls to understand brand goals, positioning, and direction
  • Develop detailed audience profiles and identify key behavioral insights
  • Perform competitor analysis to uncover opportunities and differentiators
  • Track industry, cultural, and content trends to identify what’s working (and why)
  • Identify patterns across markets, brands, and consumer behavior
  • Strategy & Creative Support (Second Touchpoint) Translate raw research into clear, actionable strategic recommendations
  • Support strategy directors with insights that guide brand and campaign development
  • Revisit and refine past research to support evolving strategies
  • Gradually contribute to creating client briefs and shaping creative direction
  • Data Synthesis & Reporting Distill large volumes of data into concise summaries (e.g., top 5 insights)
  • Pull and analyze performance data from platforms like Meta, Google, and TikTok
  • Organize research into structured Google Docs with clear narratives
  • Embed visual references (screenshots, examples) for context
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Gemini) to enhance research and synthesis
  • Workflow & Collaboration Manage research across 2–3 clients at different stages simultaneously
  • Meet deadlines for deep dives while adapting to fast-turnaround needs
  • Use ClickUp for task updates and Slack for daily communication
  • Participate in regular check-ins to align direction and refine outputs
  • Process Improvement & Ownership Build and improve internal research systems and workflows
  • Develop SOPs for data gathering and insight delivery
  • Bring fresh, “out-of-the-box” thinking to uncover unique insights
  • Communicate proactively when support or direction is needed

Requirements:

  • Strong Research Skills – You love digging into data, trends, and insights
  • Analytical Thinker – Able to connect dots and extract meaningful patterns
  • Excellent Communicator – Can simplify complex ideas into clear, concise insights
  • Organized Multitasker – Able to manage multiple projects without losing clarity
  • Agency Experience (Nice-to-have) – Bonus if you’ve worked in a marketing or creative agency
  • Data Comfort – Familiar with analytics tools (Meta, Google Analytics is a plus)
  • AI-Savvy – Comfortable using AI tools to enhance research and workflows
