Job Description
Director of Finance overseeing accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting in healthcare. Managing financial models and executive-ready presentations for senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Directs the establishment and maintenance of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Maintains all accounting records, and directs the development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of costs, budgets, trends, reimbursement, productivity and increased revenue opportunities.
- Under the direction of leadership, manages and/or provides oversight to the functions of general accounting, budgeting, accounts receivables, daily cash management, and financial reporting for assigned service lines and/or companies.
- Coordinates operations with other departments and other related entities.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models and executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and reports that clearly communicate insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or other related field.
- Five (5) years of progressive supervisory experience in healthcare finance or accounting, ideally with direct exposure to post-acute care operations and reimbursement (e.g., home health, hospice, HME).
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or other related field (preferred).
- Seven (7) years of supervisory experience in healthcare finance or accounting with direct exposure to post-acute care operations and reimbursement (e.g., home health, hospice, HME) (preferred).
- Demonstrates leadership abilities.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, cash management, and fixed asset information systems.
- Knowledge of desktop applications including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
