Job Description
Director leading preconstruction for Electric Peak Constructors’ solar PV and BESS infrastructure projects. Managing feasibility, estimating, procurement, risk, and construction handoffs across renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage Preconstruction Managers through project feasibility, engineering, pricing, and construction handoff for solar PV and BESS infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with business development and sales teams to influence pursuit strategy and align project delivery capabilities with client requirements
- Oversee project-development risk management, including pricing, schedule, scope definition, contractual risk, and third-party engineer/consultant contracting and management
- Partner with the Construction team to ensure seamless project handoffs
- Drive continuous improvement in business processes, team performance, and financial outcomes
- Lead procurement planning and oversight, including supplier qualification, strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, equipment procurement, subcontractor engagement, and supply chain risk management
- Support project cost, schedule, and quality objectives
Requirements:
- 7–10 years of management experience leading teams in renewable energy, specifically solar PV and battery energy storage
- Proficiency in PV and energy storage engineering principles and tools, including AutoCAD and PVsyst
- Proficiency in industry scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
- Strong knowledge of project costing models and estimating processes
- Skill in creating and interpreting pro formas, budgets, and revenue forecasts
- Proficiency in reading and negotiating customer contracts and subcontracts
- Broad knowledge of major equipment supplier technology offerings and use cases for solar and BESS
- Knowledge of pre-construction and costing processes
- Team management experience in pre-construction preferred
- Four-year college degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience required
- Must satisfy stated employment eligibility requirements
