Job Description
Director of Procurement managing procurement and supplier relations for U.S. Urology Partners. Leading procurement strategy to optimize cost and performance with responsibility for the procurement function.
Responsibilities:
- Direct procurement and purchasing operations and strategy to meet organizational requirements for quality, availability, volume, and pricing
- Evaluate, develop, and manage strategic supplier relationships to optimize cost, performance, and reliability
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee contract management and administration
- Implement systems and processes to monitor supplier performance, assess risk, and respond to changes in demand or supply chain disruptions
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels
- Design and enhance procurement processes, policies, and systems to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability
- Utilize ERP systems, data, and analytical tools to evaluate procurement performance and support informed decision-making
- Establish auditing and control processes to ensure procurement activities and recordkeeping comply with applicable industry and governmental regulations
- Develop functional strategies, objectives, budgets, policies, and procedures to support the procurement function
- Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to procurement staff, including staffing, performance management, and development
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
- Progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation
- Advanced degree (MBA or related field) preferred
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM preferred
- Experience implementing or optimizing procurement systems and ERP platforms preferred
