Job Description
NIQ Discover Consultant analyzing NielsenIQ consumer, retail, sales, and market data for Weekday’s client. Translating business questions into dashboards, reports, and actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Work extensively with NIQ Discover to explore, analyze, and interpret retail and consumer data
- Translate business requirements into data discovery and analytical approaches
- Build and execute data queries, reports, dashboards, and analytical views within NIQ Discover
- Analyze sales, market share, category, brand, product, and consumer data to identify trends and opportunities
- Perform data discovery to uncover patterns, anomalies, growth opportunities, and business drivers
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver insights
- Validate data outputs and ensure analysis accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Support recurring and ad-hoc analytical requests using NIQ Discover and related datasets
- Develop presentations and reports communicating findings and recommendations
- Improve data usage, analytical processes, and reporting methodologies with internal teams
- Troubleshoot data and reporting issues and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain documentation for analytical processes, reports, queries, and data definitions
- Stay updated on NIQ data products, methodologies, and market and consumer analytics best practices
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, market research, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with NIQ Discover
- Strong understanding of data discovery and exploration processes
- Ability to analyze and interpret large and complex datasets
- Understanding of retail, consumer, FMCG, market measurement, or category analytics
- Experience translating business questions into data-driven analytical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights from data
- Strong attention to detail and data validation skills
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with NielsenIQ datasets, products, or analytical solutions
- Knowledge of SQL and data querying concepts
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Exposure to FMCG, CPG, retail, sales, category management, or consumer insights
- Familiarity with data quality, reporting automation, and analytical workflows
- Experience in consulting or client-facing analytical environments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related discipline
