Job Description
Field-based oncology sales representative promoting Johnson & Johnson cancer therapeutics across Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Rochester. Managing accounts, reimbursement discussions, and territory sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill sales strategies by selling current and potential new oncology therapeutics within approved specialties and accounts
- Demonstrate working knowledge of product clinical efficacy and articulate customer value propositions
- Provide clinical support and information as needed
- Achieve sales objectives
- Conduct business analysis and actively prospect for new business within assigned accounts
- Develop account strategies with the District Manager and internal partners
- Identify key accounts and develop specific plans for account penetration
- Develop customer-specific pre- and post-call plans with objectives, probes, and approved supporting materials
- Penetrate new and current accounts to increase sales in the assigned territory
- Utilize company-approved marketing tools and resources, including computer-generated presentations
- Use closing skills to move sales to the next step
- Discuss access and reimbursement options compliantly with customers
- Negotiate sales and close orders to meet sales objectives
- Report to a District Manager as a field-based Oncology Sales Specialist
Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as necessary, including overnights and/or weekends
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech, or medical device sales experience, or recently transitioned from Active Duty Military
- Residing in the geography or willing to relocate to it
- Specialty sales experience and understanding of the Solid Tumor and Oncology market preferred
- Experience in hospital and large account sales, complex reimbursement issues, Medicare Part D, and documented successful sales performance in a competitive environment preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time
