Job Description
External Insurance Wholesaler driving advisor relationships and profitable life insurance growth for Manulife in Quebec. Conducting sales meetings, business development, and compliance support remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Serve the Quebec territory as an External Insurance Wholesaler
- Proactively handle relationships with key advisors and intermediaries
- Assist with resolving problems involving intermediaries and individuals within the region
- Identify opportunities and activities to generate profitable business growth
- Develop and execute regular business development plans
- Conduct sales meetings and seminars
- Develop and implement strategies providing consultants with marketing support and new sales ideas and concepts
- Maintain agreed-upon face-to-face contact levels with regional advisors
- Record daily activities using the current contact management system
- Represent and promote Manulife in the local financial community
- Develop strong business relationships with advisors and industry associations
- Perform front-line business risk management through awareness, support, and implementation of compliance and company policies with advisors
- Supervise sales-related activities
Requirements:
- Previous industry sales experience
- University Degree or equivalent industry education
- Knowledge and expertise in personal and corporate taxation and financial planning
- Attained or working on relevant professional designations (CLU, CFP, and CH.F.C.)
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Fully bilingual in French and English
- Knowledge of regulatory issues impacting the sale of life insurance
- Expert knowledge of Manulife individual insurance products
- Strong knowledge of marketing concepts and product application
- Strong knowledge of competitive positioning
- Facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to develop, organize, and deliver proposals, business cases, and estate analysis
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
