Job Description
Field Service Engineer delivering on-site support for medical devices in the Augsburg region. Responsible for maintenance, repairs, and technical problem-solving for GE HealthCare equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduled maintenance and repair of medical devices in the Image Guided Therapies domain according to technical documentation and/or modification instructions
- Independent diagnosis and resolution of technical issues on customers’ premises and remote troubleshooting as a Regional Online Engineer
- Independent installation and deinstallation of medical systems or optional assemblies in coordination with project management
- Timely completion of all administrative tasks (in particular daily service reports, weekly work sheets, maintenance logs, and other required documentation)
- Regular participation in training for technical updates, including abroad
- Maintenance of tools/instruments and test equipment and ensuring calibration
Requirements:
- Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, medical technology, mechatronics, and/or a comparable qualification
- Several years’ professional experience in electronics (qualified electrician) (ideally with experience in repair, installation, and maintenance of medical systems)
- Technical/analytical and problem-solving skills as well as commercial awareness
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly and a valid driver’s license
- Very good German and good English skills
- Good MS Office and PC skills
