Job Description
Field Services Representative supporting Dowty’s R391 composite propeller systems for GE Aerospace. Providing customer technical assistance, aircraft maintenance, repairs, reporting, and global field service support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general technical direction and assistance to customers in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE products
- Provide on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction
- Provide Project Engineering, Program Management, and Field Service management with complete and prompt information on program status, customer problems, failures, trends, and climate
- Communicate program activities and problems to Product Support and Field Service through regular, timely reports
- Prepare reports, obtain and interpret market intelligence, and communicate sales opportunities for assigned programs and support
- Assist customers in scheduling maintenance and workload
- Help ensure parts meet established schedules
- Make recommendations based on findings
- Review maintenance-action effectiveness to identify training needs
- Anticipate requirements beyond immediate program needs and assist with implementing solutions
- Perform intermediate and depot-level maintenance
- Conduct hands-on repair and maintenance of the R391 Composite Propeller System and related components
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
- Up to 60% travel to global destinations
- Able to lift a minimum of 65 lbs.
- 2+ years performing extensive repairs and conversions, as well as maintenance and repair work, on aircraft engine and/or propeller systems
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Aviation experience in a Field Service or Maintenance position
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proven analytical and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, internally and externally
- Must be able to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
- May be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
