Job Description
Finance specialist training AI models on financial analysis, accounting, and markets. Evaluating reasoning through English- and French-language financial problems for Meridial.
Responsibilities:
- Converse with the model in both English and French on real-world financial problems and theoretical questions
- Verify factual accuracy and logical consistency
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Challenge advanced language models on finance topics and document every failure mode to improve model reasoning
- Help power training data for AI financial analysis, education, and decision support
Requirements:
- Finance expertise in financial modeling, accounting principles, investment analysis, financial markets, risk management, corporate finance, and international finance
- Expertise in French-speaking regions
- Ability to challenge language models on GAAP and IFRS standards, balance sheet analysis, cash flow forecasting, derivatives, equity and debt valuation, budgeting, taxation, and compliance
- Fluency in French
- Clear, metacognitive communication and ability to “show your work”
- A master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field is ideal
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA signal fit
- Hands-on experience in financial institutions, corporate finance, or regulatory roles signals fit
