Job Description
Finance specialist challenging AI models on financial analysis, accounting, and markets for Meridial. Evaluating English and French responses and documenting reasoning failures to improve model performance.
Responsibilities:
- Challenge advanced language models on financial topics including GAAP and IFRS standards, balance sheet analysis, cash flow forecasting, derivatives, equity and debt valuation, budgeting, taxation, and compliance
- Converse with the model in both English and French on real-world financial problems and theoretical questions
- Verify factual accuracy and logical consistency
- Capture reproducible error traces and document model failure modes
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Help train AI systems that support financial analysis, education, and decision support
Requirements:
- Fluent in French
- Expertise in financial modeling, accounting principles, investment analysis, financial markets, risk management, corporate finance, and international finance
- Expertise in French-speaking regions
- Ability to evaluate GAAP and IFRS standards, balance sheet analysis, cash flow forecasting, derivatives, equity and debt valuation, budgeting, taxation, and compliance
- Ability to converse with the model in both English and French
- Ability to verify factual accuracy and logical consistency
- Ability to capture reproducible error traces
- Ability to suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Clear, metacognitive communication and ability to “show your work”
- A master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field is ideal
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA signal fit
- Hands-on experience in financial institutions, corporate finance, or regulatory roles
