Job Description

Gamma Phi Beta volunteer supervising collegiate chapter finances and financial advisors. Reviewing budgets, OmegaFi activity, IRS filings and chapter financial wellness across West 1.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist chapter advisors in appointing, training and mentoring financial advisors
  • Supervise collegiate chapter financial activities for assigned chapters
  • Ensure chapters follow budget processes, timelines and approvals
  • Review chapter financial activity on OmegaFi and analyze it against financial management standards
  • Collaborate with regional team members and financial advisors to address budgeting, OmegaFi and chapter financial issues
  • Track completion and filing of IRS Form 990 tax forms and upload copies to Beta Base
  • Assess financial strengths and challenges and manage financial goals with regional and finance teams
  • Identify chapters needing additional financial-management support
  • Schedule and lead annual chapter finance visits with regional team members
  • Submit a Beta Base report within 10 days of each visit
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on resources, programming, project teams and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Gamma Phi Beta knowledge
  • Critical thinking
  • Mentorship skills
  • Experience with Gamma Phi Beta’s financial policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with Gamma Phi Beta’s financial management platform, OmegaFi Vault
  • Ability to commit four to six hours per week on average
  • Ability to travel up to five days per year for chapter visits and the REAL Leadership Institute
  • Participation in the synchronous, virtual BEDI Summit
  • Ability to serve a two-year term ending July 31 of odd-numbered years
  • Meet Gamma Phi Beta’s Appointed Volunteer Expectations Agreement
  • Members must be in good standing through international alumnae dues or Life Loyal membership; non-members may enter N/A for Chapter of Initiation
