Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making at Lightspeed, a global commerce platform. Building financial models and partnering with senior leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Establish solid business partnerships with leaders across the business
- Prepare presentations for the Senior Management team
- Prepare, improve, and streamline budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
- Perform deep analysis and scorecards against budget/forecast monthly and quarterly
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end variance and management reporting
- Provide analytical support and financial guidance for business decisions
- Develop new analyses and improve reports and metrics to support senior leadership decision-making
- Work on ad hoc projects, including assessment of new business activities or process changes
- Assist with special requests from the executive team
- Contribute to wider team objectives beyond the strict scope of the role
Requirements:
- 3-5 years in progressive financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Expert knowledge in Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial modeling
- Proven track record in business partner or corporate FP&A role
- Highly detail oriented and organized
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication to interact with all levels of management
- Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task, fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and work quickly while being able to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
- Experience with Pigment planning tool is an asset
- Knowledge/experience working in a customer support organization is an asset
