Job Description
Finance Systems Specialist managing finance system configuration and workflows for a remote creative branding agency. Supports Executive Director of Finance and cross-department collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the configuration, administration, and daily enablement of Finance systems and workflows.
- Keeps finance tools organized, users supported, documentation current, and recurring processes streamlined.
- Partners closely with Operations, and external vendors to reduce manual work, improve visibility, and ensure systems evolve.
- Supports the Executive Director of Finance as the company’s financial needs continue to evolve.
- Administers core finance platforms (e.g., QBO, Fathom, Avalara).
- Manages user access, roles/permissions, and basic configuration updates.
- Maintains consistent master data hygiene.
- Maintains finance SOPs, checklists, process maps.
- Assists with report refreshes, schedule automation, and dataset integrity checks.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in finance systems support, accounting operations support, or business systems administration
- Comfort with finance workflows and controls (AP, AR, close fundamentals)
- Excellent organization, documentation, and follow-through
