Job Description
Professional Services Financials Consultant implementing Workday solutions. Leading design sessions and mentoring new consultants in various financial functional areas.
Responsibilities:
- Become a specialist in the Workday Financials product suite
- Lead design sessions for multiple financial functional areas
- Drive client business requirements
- Configure and Prototype the Workday solution
- Support Client with Unit Testing, End to End Testing and User Testing
- Work with the client and data conversion team to help convert legacy data into Workday
- Complete the work assigned to you by the Engagement Manager within the budgeted time allocated
- Assist integration consulting team with designing, configuring and testing both packaged and custom integrations
- Learn, understand and advise on Workday’s Deployment Methodology
- Help mentor new Consultants
- Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices
- Ensure the client is reference-able once they are in production
- Participate in update training, supporting ecosystem and other events that help share one’s product skills with other consultants
Requirements:
- 6+ years implementing Financial solutions.
- 6+ years of previous consulting experience either as a consultant with a consulting company or an internal consultant.
- 6+ years of experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar applications
- Experience (6+ years) with at least 2 functional areas: Financial Data Model (FDM)
- General Ledger
- Budgets
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Governmental Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- 8+ years implementing Financial solutions.
- 8+ years of previous consulting experience either as a consultant with a consulting company or an internal consultant.
- 8+ years of experience implementing Workday.
- Experience (8+ years) with at least 2 functional areas: Financial Data Model (FDM)
- General Ledger
- Budgets
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Governmental Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- Public Sector Industry experience
- Passion for customer service
- Project management experience
- Technical experience a plus
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to commit to long-term projects
- Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
- Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
- Experience with multiple financial applications
- Strong industry knowledge is essential, including staying abreast of current trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments to contribute to strategic planning, risk management, and identifying new opportunities
- Proven solutions design skills, with the ability to analyze business challenges and develop effective solutions that leverage technology and optimize resources
- Expertise in strategic business consulting, including market analysis, financial acumen, and strategic planning, to drive organizational growth and performance
- Ability to travel 50% or more of the time
