Job Description
Gates Manager leading all on-site entry operations during Breakaway music festivals, ensuring guest safety and efficiency across multiple festival locations.
Responsibilities:
- **RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee the setup and operation of ticket scanners, entry lanes, barricades, and gate signage.
- Manage gate layout adjustments, including bike rack placement and traffic flow optimization.
- Train and supervise scanning staff to ensure proper procedures and high-quality guest service.
- Track and manage staff hours and scheduling.
- Monitor and manage guest entry and exit flow to prevent congestion and ensure safety.
- Maintain and manage all gate equipment and scanning devices.
- Partner closely with security teams and local law enforcement to ensure safe and smooth gate operations.
- Control access points, verify credentials, enforce site rules, and report any suspicious activity.
- Resolve guest complaints, provide information, and manage high-volume guest interactions.
- Make real-time operational decisions related to long queues, equipment issues, or unauthorized entry.
- Maintain professionalism in fast-paced outdoor environments with varying weather, noise, and terrain.
- Remain on feet for extended periods and engage in frequent public interaction.
Requirements:
- **QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 2 years of security, gate operations, or door management experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to project voice clearly when needed.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in handling conflict resolution professionally and effectively.
- Working knowledge of safety, security, and crowd management protocols.
- Ability and willingness to travel to all festival markets throughout the season.
