Job Description
Global process engineering authority improving GE Vernova generator manufacturing reliability, quality, and equipment standards. Driving lean, DFSS, asset management, and global process improvements across the Generator Value Stream.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy global standards that improve the reliability, availability, and performance of GE Vernova manufacturing equipment and maintenance processes
- Analyze data and work cross-functionally to implement proactive measures that improve generator processes
- Reduce costs through standardization of equipment and processes and ensure adherence to standards
- Serve as a focal point for new technology introductions, asset transfers, and new process introductions
- Recommend fixturing, processes, control plans, and manufacturing asset qualifications
- Coach and influence a dotted-line organization of factory technical leads across the supply chain
- Define, control, and communicate global manufacturing asset processes, including facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks, calibrations, preventive maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, and technical training
- Validate design specifications and shop-floor application of new processes with EHS, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, and Sourcing
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams on preventive and predictive programs
- Establish equipment reliability KPIs and track progress against targets
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce equipment downtime and improve quality processes
- Lead failure and chronic-issue investigations, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
- Provide technical support for asset management, equipment life-cycle analysis, and spare-parts optimization
- Participate in new equipment design and installation and process implementation, applying Design for Reliability
- Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices for products, processes, and services
- Lead functional teams or projects, communicate difficult concepts, and influence stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality, OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 15 years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality
- 5 years of generator manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics
- Project Management skills and experience
- Willing and able to travel approximately 25% globally
- Experience working cross functionally and co-leading implementation of manufacturing systems supporting Next Generation Supply Chain migration globally across the Generator Value Stream
- Experience utilizing design for Six Sigma methodology (DFSS)
- Ability to deploy lean principles, including Transformation Planning, 3P, Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Work, Kaizen, Problem Solving, and Poka Yoke
- Managed a cost center or P&L with a solid understanding of operational metrics
- Direct leadership experience of professional and production employees
- Ability to coach and influence others and lead small teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Deep manufacturing technical expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
