Job Description
Grant Writer Intern assisting in securing funding that supports entrepreneurship and SMBs in Canada. Ideal for a 3rd or 4th year student looking for hands‑on experience in non‑profit work.
Responsibilities:
- Research and track grant and funding opportunities
- Draft grant proposals, letters of intent, and applications
- Align program outcomes with funder priorities and criteria
- Support budgets, logic models, and impact reporting
- Conduct research on economic development and SMB trends
- Gather data, success stories, and documentation for proposals
- Maintain organized records of applications and outcomes
Requirements:
- 3rd or 4th year student in Communications, Business, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and deadline management
- Ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- Interest in non‑profit work, entrepreneurship, and community development
- Research or policy analysis experience (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with impact metrics or reporting (Nice to Have)
- Previous non‑profit, internship, or volunteer experience (Nice to Have)
