Job Description

Grant Writer Intern assisting in securing funding that supports entrepreneurship and SMBs in Canada. Ideal for a 3rd or 4th year student looking for hands‑on experience in non‑profit work.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and track grant and funding opportunities
  • Draft grant proposals, letters of intent, and applications
  • Align program outcomes with funder priorities and criteria
  • Support budgets, logic models, and impact reporting
  • Conduct research on economic development and SMB trends
  • Gather data, success stories, and documentation for proposals
  • Maintain organized records of applications and outcomes

Requirements:

  • 3rd or 4th year student in Communications, Business, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and deadline management
  • Ability to synthesize complex information clearly
  • Interest in non‑profit work, entrepreneurship, and community development
  • Research or policy analysis experience (Nice to Have)
  • Familiarity with impact metrics or reporting (Nice to Have)
  • Previous non‑profit, internship, or volunteer experience (Nice to Have)
