Job Description
Grid Interconnection Project Manager supporting ERCOT interconnection and project development. Advancing Soluna’s renewable-energy data centers that convert excess power into computational work.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day load interconnection processes with TDSPs/ERCOT for new and existing development projects from siting to execution
- Prepare interconnection applications and monitor study timelines, costs, and deliverables
- Handle interconnection agreements
- Assist in overseeing consultants and reviewing utility schedules and cost estimates
- Establish working relationships with utilities, ISOs, and industry representatives
- Maintain meeting notes and follow-up trackers for public stakeholder meetings, including WMS, ROS, and PUC workshops
- Maintain and update the renewable assets interconnection database
- Support project modeling inputs related to interconnection costs and TDSP timeline risk
- Help prepare stakeholder assessment materials and establish critical project requirements
- Track and help resolve issues blocking project progress, particularly interconnection queue and market-rule compliance items
- Coordinate weekly IPP check-ins and maintain associated documentation
- Support commercial activities by providing project interconnection information
- Report to the Director, Grid Integration and collaborate with Power and Project Development teams
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in energy, utilities, or data center infrastructure
- Exposure to ERCOT or large load interconnection is a strong plus
- Familiarity with TDSP interconnection processes and ERCOT market rules, or strong eagerness to learn quickly
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines accurately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize technical and regulatory information
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets for data tracking
- Comfort working with data sets is a plus
- Entrepreneurial sensibilities and a proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves work style
- Education or degree in Engineering, Management, Economics, or a related field
