Job Description
Group Director leading CPG client growth, retention, and team leadership at tech-enabled growth marketing firm. Driving P&L performance, service expansion, new business, and marketing innovation across client portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Retain and grow the client portfolio and lead, motivate, and inspire the team
- Cultivate senior-level client relationships, ensure satisfaction, and foster growth opportunities within the CPG division
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive new business and service expansion
- Provide thought leadership and division insights
- Partner with the Managing Director and VP on go-to-market strategy, positioning, and Power Circuit product solutions
- Directly manage Account Directors and oversee Account Managers
- Coach team members, provide feedback, and lead training initiatives
- Conduct client check-ins, maintain retention forecasts, and identify expansion opportunities
- Participate in new business pitches and RFPs
- Create industry-specific solutions and lead trends and innovation with R&D
- Own resolution of client escalations
- Consult on divisional P&L and client profitability; forecast churn, service expansion, new business, and efficiency
- Oversee recruitment, staffing, training, and onboarding initiatives
- Drive efficiency through technology, AI, and process improvements
- Strengthen use and development of the nova application
- Collaborate with Data Intelligence, Media Planning, and shared Activation teams
- Participate in conferences, speaking opportunities, blog content, and trainings
Requirements:
- Department leadership and management experience required
- 10+ years as a leader in a digital marketing agency
- Experience managing a P&L for profitable growth
- Expertise in contract negotiation, client retention, and client growth
- Proven track record of delivering high customer satisfaction scores through NPS or similar retention metrics
- Extensive knowledge of owned, earned, and paid marketing channels
- Experience with first-party data tools such as Google Analytics and Shopify
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with executive-level contacts
- Experience managing large teams, coaching direct reports, and driving talent development
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
