Job Description
Senior Director overseeing healthcare contracting and provider network development for Centene. Leading new-market strategy, negotiations, budgets, launches, and network performance improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of contracting activities in network development and enhancement
- Direct evaluation, review, negotiations, and ongoing management of product-specific contracts and amendments between health plans and vendors
- Work with business development and providers to develop strategies for new networks meeting network access and unit cost objectives
- Determine necessary resources and assemble appropriate cross-functional teams
- Develop budgets aligned with network management and financial objectives
- Support new business launches in diverse markets while considering market circumstances, provider communities, budget constraints, and available resources
- Lead network development specialists during implementation and development stages
- Monitor performance and implement solutions addressing process and quality gaps
- Communicate network strategy and planning to senior management and Centene leaders
- Negotiate complex and major provider contracts as needed
- Perform other assigned duties and comply with policies and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of related contracting or healthcare operations experience
- Experience establishing new markets, including strategy development and implementation oversight
- Candidates must be in the state of Florida
- Ability to travel occasionally, around 10%, for internal and provider-facing meetings
