Job Description
Director of Logistics leading transportation, warehousing, and inventory for PDM’s electrical infrastructure projects. Optimizing heavy-transformer fulfillment across power distribution, data center, oil and gas, and renewable energy markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Manage day-to-day logistics, including warehousing, transloading, and transportation
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency
- Negotiate with suppliers, third-party service providers, and 3PL providers
- Manage logistics budgets and identify cost-minimization opportunities
- Oversee, coach, and direct logistics staff
- Coordinate with PDM team counterparts based in China
- Ensure operations comply with laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Support logistical solution development and optimize transformer fulfillment for power generation projects
- Work directly with client operations and internal stakeholders to drive satisfaction with PDM products
- Lead multimillion-dollar project delivery fulfillment from supplier hand-off through client site
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role demonstrating success
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field required
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to lead multimillion-dollar project delivery fulfillment from supplier hand-off through client site
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to business audiences
- Experience successfully transporting very large, very heavy transformers and electrical infrastructure
- Ability to manage budgets, select and negotiate with vendors, analyze performance data, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Willingness/ability to travel 15%
