Job Description

Director of Logistics leading transportation, warehousing, and inventory for PDM’s electrical infrastructure projects. Optimizing heavy-transformer fulfillment across power distribution, data center, oil and gas, and renewable energy markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Manage day-to-day logistics, including warehousing, transloading, and transportation
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency
  • Negotiate with suppliers, third-party service providers, and 3PL providers
  • Manage logistics budgets and identify cost-minimization opportunities
  • Oversee, coach, and direct logistics staff
  • Coordinate with PDM team counterparts based in China
  • Ensure operations comply with laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • Support logistical solution development and optimize transformer fulfillment for power generation projects
  • Work directly with client operations and internal stakeholders to drive satisfaction with PDM products
  • Lead multimillion-dollar project delivery fulfillment from supplier hand-off through client site

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role demonstrating success
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to lead multimillion-dollar project delivery fulfillment from supplier hand-off through client site
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to business audiences
  • Experience successfully transporting very large, very heavy transformers and electrical infrastructure
  • Ability to manage budgets, select and negotiate with vendors, analyze performance data, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Willingness/ability to travel 15%
