Job Description

Harmar Mobility consultant selling wheelchair, stair, and platform lifts to Canadian dealers. Providing installation training, troubleshooting, and technical support through frequent travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and execute sales of home accessibility products to Canadian-based dealers
  • Provide technical support for home accessibility products
  • Use relationship selling to grow customers’ businesses with Harmar/Pollock Elevators
  • Train and educate customers and associates on product marketing and advertising programs
  • Solve customer product problems promptly
  • Work with the Credit Manager on territory credit issues
  • Manage and maintain sample product inventory
  • Provide in-person and virtual training, on-site dealer visits, troubleshooting, and technical support
  • Maintain and grow current business in the assigned territory
  • Develop new business and add product lines to existing customers
  • Conduct training in Sarasota, Florida, virtually, and at Canadian dealer locations
  • Deliver phone and email support for installation, service, and product questions
  • Lead facility and field training for stairlift, vertical platform lift, and elevator products
  • Create sales orders and process return material authorizations for repair parts
  • Help develop and review technical documents and training materials
  • Assist technical support and training teams with special projects

Requirements:

  • Able to work and travel for business in Canada and the US
  • Able to explain complex concepts simply
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
  • Able to speak confidently in front of small groups
  • Outstanding customer support and dealer communication by phone, email, and face to face
  • Proficiency with webinars, video, and interactive learning tools
  • Proficiency with Google platform and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, or elevator systems
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Well-organized and able to manage travel and prioritize multiple issues
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
  • 3–5 years in a sales role, preferably with electrical and mechanical products
  • Associate degree or trade certification in a technical field; or 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluent in English and French
