Job Description
GTM Associate prospecting insurance agencies for Canopy Connect’s infrastructure platform. Building the SDR function through outreach, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and contact potential customers through email, phone, and social channels
- Use prospecting tools to find contact information for potential buyers at existing Target Accounts
- Identify new Target Accounts based on anticipated fit
- Assist with creating sales enablement and marketing materials
- Suggest new strategies and technologies
- Perform competitive analysis
- Monitor market trends, including executive job changes, funding rounds, and conferences, to identify ways to engage prospects
- Represent the customer internally and relay feedback to leadership on product features, pricing, and trends
- Sell Canopy Connect’s insurance infrastructure to insurance agencies
Requirements:
- Strong cold calling abilities
- 6-12 months of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar role
- Track record of hitting or exceeding meetings-booked quota
- Fluency in, or ability to self-learn, HubSpot, LinkedIn, Loom, Gong/Chorus, and other marketing automation and sales enablement tools
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with sales frameworks like Challenger (bonus)
- Active participation in sales communities such as Pavilion or OnDeck (bonus)
- Experience at a company selling APIs and/or data (bonus)
- Experience in insurance, payments, banking, FinTech, and/or InsurTech (bonus)
- Experience in MarTech or SalesTech (bonus)
- Experience at a hyper-growth startup that scaled substantially during your tenure (bonus)
