Job Description
Insurance Account Specialist processing policy-service tasks for ReSource Pro, an insurance workflow optimization and technology services provider. Supporting clients, insureds, and offshore service teams through remote customer service and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Process elementary and routine insurance tasks while meeting quality, quantity, and time deadlines
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally, politely, and efficiently
- Escalate communications to the appropriate resource when needed
- Support Senior Specialists and Account Managers by processing service-related issues
- Collaborate with offshore Service Delivery Teams and provide feedback
- Operate client systems and process endorsements, certificates of insurance, application follow-ups, and quoting tasks
- Document work in client and company databases
- Build relationships with clients and insureds to support retention and revenue growth
- Consult with client team members on insured requests
- Identify process improvement opportunities and provide suggestions to OPEX and SDU leadership
- Help maintain procedures, service level goals, and guidelines
- Follow procedures to meet quality SLAs and maintain security standards
- Train new Account Specialists on basic tasks and procedures
- Provide direction to new hires and check and audit their work
- Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to meet client needs and internal team goals
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Property and Casualty License highly preferred; ability to study for and successfully pass the state Property and Casualty licensing exam within the first 30 days of employment required
- Professional customer service experience required
- 2–3 years of insurance experience preferred, including personal lines, commercial lines, life and health, or employee benefits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
- Process-focused with strong attention to detail
- Technological proficiency and ability to learn, utilize, and navigate various client and internal systems
- Must reside within the United States
- Central Time Zone or Mountain Time Zone required to accommodate client needs
