Job Description
Interface Developer building Pentaho ETL, APIs, and enterprise integrations for CGI’s government ERP platform. Supporting secure data exchange and modernization initiatives for public-sector organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise system interfaces using Pentaho and related integration technologies
- Develop, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs, web services, and other integration components
- Build and support batch, real-time, and event-driven integrations across ERP platforms, cloud services, and third-party applications
- Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, validate, and load data across multiple source and target systems
- Collaborate with solution architects, functional consultants, business analysts, and client stakeholders to analyze requirements and develop technical integration solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve interface, API, and data integration issues while optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implement error handling, logging, monitoring, and recovery processes for stable production operations
- Develop and maintain interface specifications, technical documentation, deployment procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials
- Participate in integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployments
- Ensure integration solutions comply with security, development, and data-governance standards
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, design discussions, code reviews, and continuous-improvement activities
- Monitor production interfaces, proactively identify issues, and provide ongoing operational support
- Collaborate on enterprise transformation initiatives for government organizations using CGI’s CGI Advantage ERP platform
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise system integrations
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Pentaho integration and ETL development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services using JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols
- Experience integrating ERP applications, enterprise systems, relational databases, and cloud-based services
- Strong SQL development skills with experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar relational database platforms
- Experience designing ETL workflows, data mappings, transformation logic, and data validation processes
- Working knowledge of API authentication and security standards, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and SSL/TLS
- Experience using Git or other source control/version management tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, functional, and client-facing teams
- Remote candidates must be willing to work PST hours
