Job Description

Investment Banking Analyst supporting debt placement and private capital transactions for Coconut’s remote talent network. Building models, analyzing companies, and preparing investor and transaction materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Support private capital transactions end-to-end, from initial company assessment through investor outreach, due diligence, term sheet analysis, and closing
  • Focus on debt placement for growth-stage and lower-middle-market companies
  • Support private market secondaries and liquidity solutions
  • Build and maintain financial models, including historical analysis, projections, liquidity forecasts, debt capacity, and transaction scenarios
  • Analyze financial statements, operating models, capitalization tables, debt schedules, and KPIs
  • Prepare transaction and marketing materials, including CIMs, lender presentations, executive summaries, and company profiles
  • Research and match capital providers to each company's profile
  • Manage virtual data rooms, diligence request lists, process trackers, and closing checklists
  • Engage directly with clients on calls
  • Provide presentation support and marketing materials for Axis Group Ventures

Requirements:

  • Background in investment banking, private credit, commercial banking, corporate finance, lending, transaction advisory, private equity, venture capital, or financial analysis
  • Experience with banking, lending, or corporate finance
  • Ability to support private capital transactions end-to-end
  • Experience building or reviewing financial models
  • Familiarity with credit analysis, debt structures, capitalization tables, or private company valuation
  • Experience with CRM platforms, virtual data rooms, financial databases, or investor research tools
  • Understanding of venture-backed, recurring-revenue, lower-middle-market companies, or specialty finance
  • Prior experience working directly with senior executives, investors, lenders, or transaction professionals
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative and ownership without constant direction
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM platforms, virtual data rooms, and financial databases
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses are good to have; Rainmaker Securities would need to sponsor
  • English proficiency level must be entered in the application form
