Job Description

Investor Accounting Analyst reconciling mortgage-servicing accounts and remittance data. Supporting Carrington Mortgage Services’ integrated lending and loan-servicing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic reconciliation projects
  • Review investor reports, schedules, and loan-servicing reports
  • Reconcile investor principal, interest, taxes, and insurance bank accounts while meeting Regulation AB deadlines
  • Research and resolve reconciling items within 90 days as required by Regulation AB
  • Analyze remittance differences among investor accounting reports, the loan servicing system, and remittance reports
  • Maintain appropriate cash in custodial accounts
  • Validate data from other departments and resolve discrepancies in modification and liquidation reports
  • Support team members in meeting reporting deadlines
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Investor Reporting
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience, including investor accounting and/or reporting, required
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Intermediate Excel and Access database skills
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions
  • Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information
  • Ability to apply common sense in performing the job
  • Ability to make decisions with significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules
  • Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and/or develop forecasts and computer models
  • Ability to communicate orally with others accurately, audibly, and quickly
  • Must comply with applicable US state and federal laws and regulations
