Job Description
As a Coding Specialist at Ventra, you will review interventional radiology documents, ensuring accurate coding according to guidelines. Your role will involve analyzing medical records and documenting discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
- Review documents to identify all procedures and diagnosis
- Ensure accurate coding per current coding guidelines
- Communicate and recognize documentation discrepancies
- Perform analysis of medical record documentation
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
- Document coding errors and assist with audits
- Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and company policy
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- RHIT and/or CPC required
- Must possess a Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) certification or minimum of 5 years in interventional radiology coding
- At least one (1) year of medical billing preferred
- 2023 MDM Guidelines required
