Job Description

Junior Accounts Associate supporting Tyk’s global API management platform through payables, receivables, reconciliations, and month-end close. Developing accounting expertise across international entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable by coding supplier invoices to the correct nominal and entity, routing them for approval through Omnea, and helping process payments on time
  • Manage accounts receivable by raising customer invoices accurately and on time and helping chase overdue accounts
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations across GBP, USD, EUR, and SGD, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Process employee expenses via Spendesk and Deel, ensuring spend is correctly coded, supported, and approved
  • Post journals and maintain accurate, well-organised financial records
  • Keep customer and supplier data current, reconciled, and auditable
  • Provide weekly AR and AP inputs for cash flow forecasting
  • Respond to billing and supplier payment queries and escalate issues where appropriate
  • Assist with month-end balance sheet reconciliations under review
  • Maintain prepayment and accrual schedules, post monthly releases, and raise AP accruals
  • Support monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting, investigate unexpected items, and assist with variance analysis
  • Complete assigned month-end tasks accurately and on schedule
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager and CFO while supporting financial operations across UK, USA, Singapore, and Canada entities

Requirements:

  • Accounting or finance graduate
  • 0–2 years’ experience in a finance role
  • Studying, or planning to study, towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Well organised and dependable, able to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadline
  • Clear communicator comfortable asking questions and collaborating with others
  • Comfortable managing own workload in a fully remote environment
  • Ability to take ownership, follow through on commitments, and demonstrate radical responsibility
  • Curiosity to understand the reasoning behind financial figures
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities
  • Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
