Job Description
Lead Software Engineer building scalable full-stack features for CoderPad’s technical interview platform. Leading architecture, AI-assisted development, testing, and production deployments for EMEA engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features
- Take ownership of complex technical problems end to end
- Raise the engineering bar for the EMEA team
- Drive architecture and technical design decisions
- Groom the backlog and plan with the Product Manager
- Use AI coding assistants and agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex
- Automate repetitive engineering tasks and offload boilerplate
- Write automated tests and ensure code quality through code reviews
- Deploy and monitor features in production using GitLab, AWS, and Kubernetes
- Improve the team’s engineering practices
- Partner with Product and other teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver impactful work
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or lead-level ownership
- Proficiency in at least one backend language: Java, Ruby, or Node.js
- Proficiency in a modern frontend framework, ideally React
- Proficiency in SQL
- Solid experience designing scalable, reliable systems
- Experience conducting thorough code reviews
- Comfortable working autonomously in a distributed, remote-first environment
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools for code generation, agentic workflows, scripting/automation, or building internal tooling on top of LLMs
- Professional working proficiency in English
