Job Description
Learning Engagement Associate developing courses, trainings, and engagement programs for AAAS, a scientific society. Supporting the AAAS Learning Hub, member outreach, events, and learning strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of a course development roadmap and content strategy for AAAS’s learning and development portfolio
- Support end-to-end development of courses, events and other learning offerings
- Source, create and maintain content incorporating adult learning best practices and relevant research
- Execute marketing, communication and engagement tactics to increase AAAS Learning Hub users
- Facilitate in-person and online live and pre-recorded trainings
- Provide technical and administrative support for setting up and maintaining courses in the Learning Hub
- Support implementation of software and technology solutions for the AAAS Learning Hub with IT and internal partners
- Consult on and co-develop Learning Hub content for specific constituent groups
- Develop and manage a calendar of content and educational outreach for members
- Identify new outreach and marketing channels
- Support learning and engagement events, webinars, and AAAS Annual Meeting activities
- Assist with learning and engagement activities supporting the Institutional Membership/Partnership business model
- Monitor and evaluate the Member Learning and Development strategy and AAAS Learning Hub platform’s business impact, user experience, and content quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Learning Design and Technology or a related field
- 2-4 years of professional experience supporting a learning and development program
- Instructional design experience, including familiarity with adult learning best practices and design models (i.e. ADDIE)
- Proficiency completing end to end course development using Articulate, RISE, SCORM files, Path LMS and/or other comparable learning development software and platforms
- Facilitation experience with a strong desire to facilitate small- and large-scale trainings for audiences across career levels in a virtual or in-person environment
- Experience with STEMM audiences preferred
- Working knowledge of adult education market as well as marketing and communication best practices
- Strong team player with customer service mindset and effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to travel ~10%
